Return Policy
We offer a 30-day return policy. Customers may request a return within 30 days of receiving their order. To initiate a return, you must provide your order number or the full name and address associated with the purchase.
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unused and in the same condition as received
- In the original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Once your return request is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item.
Return Shipping Costs
- If the return is due to our error (incorrect or defective item), Karsten Nursery will cover return shipping costs.
- If the return is due to customer reasons (e.g., incorrect order or change of mind), the customer is responsible for return shipping fees.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately at joel@karstennursery.com with photos of the issue. We will review your request within 1–3 business days and provide a prompt resolution.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items are non-returnable, including perishable goods such as live plants and bare root plant materials. Exceptions apply only if an incorrect item was shipped, in which case we will arrange a replacement at no additional cost.
Exchanges
To request an exchange, please email us with details of the issue. If we have made an error, we will promptly ship the correct item and provide a prepaid return label for the original item.
European Union – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
For orders shipped to the European Union, customers have the right to cancel or return their order within 14 days of receipt, without providing a reason. Returned items must meet the standard return conditions outlined above.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
